Purple and Yellow Pansies, 3 Strand Necklace

$149.95

My Purple and Yellow Pansies have survived a very dry May and now a very wet late June, and they are beautiful! This necklace is an homage to those blossoms that happen to be some of my favorite flowers!

Purple and Yellow Pansies is a 3 strand necklace of Amethyst, Ametrine and Yellow Opals. It's finished with Delica Glass spacer beads and a silver filled brass flower slide and lock clasp. The short strand is 16.5 inches and the longest one is 20 inches, not including the Amethyst teardrop center bead.

Amethyst is the birthstone for February and Opals are the birthstone for October, so this necklace is a powerful celebration of those born in the winter and autumn. Amethyst has often been associated with royalty and has long been considered a very good healing gemstone. According to crystalvaults.com, "Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and legendary powers to stimulate, and soothe, the mind and emotions. It is a semi-precious stone in today’s classifications, but to the ancients, it was a “Gem of Fire"; a Precious Stone worth, at times in history, as much as a Diamond.

Amethyst has always been associated with February, the month the Romans dedicated to Neptune, their water god. Therefore, it should be no surprise that it is the traditional birthstone of that month. It is the stone of St. Valentine and faithful love and signifies ecclesiastical dignity as the Bishop’s Stone. It carries the energy of fire and passion, creativity and spirituality; yet bears the logic of temperance and sobriety."

firemountaingems.com states, "Ametrine is a combination of amethyst and citrine, which are both a variety of quartz. Amethyst is clear quartz with the presence of manganese, making it purple. Citrine is clear quartz with the presence of iron, making it golden yellow. Quartzes (such as amethyst, citrine, ametrine and others) have been around for years and make up approximately 12% of the Earth's crust. Ametrine is said to be the complete balance of the properties of amethyst and citrine.

As a stone of both balance and connection, Ametrine is believed to relieve tension, bring serenity and stimulate creativity, as well as balance mental stability and self-confidence. Ametrine is considered a double boost to remove toxins from the body, as both amethyst and citrine are detoxifiers."

charmsoflight.com comments, "Opal is an emotional stone and reflects the mood of the wearer. It intensifies emotions and releases inhibitions. Encourages both freedom and independence.
