Pumpkin Spice Latte, 2 strand gemstone necklace

$124.95

Pumpkin Spice Latte isn't a drink this time! It's a 2 strand gemstone necklace of Carnelian ovals, Red Jasper flat rounds, Red Tigers eye faceted rounds, Spotted Chalcedony large nuggets and a Sterling Silver toggle clasp. It's iconic fall colors were a must to create on this rainy Autumn last day of September. The short strand is 16 inches and the long one is 17 3/4 inches. I also used orange Delica Glass spacer beads at the ends. Ok! Now I'm ready for Pumpkin Spice everything!

According to firemountaingems.com, "Carnelian is believed to be named after the red-orange Kornel cherry. Artifacts using carnelian date back to the Bronze Age circa 1800 BC on the island of Crete. Carnelian was believed by the Romans to be a stone of courage--able to shore up confidence and strength. In ancient Egypt, the stone was placed on mummies to assist the dead in their journey to the afterlife while architects to the pharaohs wore carnelian to denote rank and status. In the Middle Ages, carnelian was used by alchemists when boiling stone to release the energy of other gemstones.

Carnelian is the birthstone for the zodiac sign of Virgo (August 23 - September 22). For most cultures, from the 15th to the 20th century, carnelian was one of four birthstones for August. In 1912, the United States adopted peridot as the August birthstone, however in 2013, Britain recognized carnelian as a secondary birthstone after ruby.

Carnelian was the stone of courage to the ancient Romans, and for the ancient Egyptians it assisted the dead in their journey to the afterlife. Learn more about the incredible history of this gemstone, it's believed properties and how to incorporate it into your jewelry designs.

From antiquity, carnelian has been worn in cameos in the belief that it would ward off insanity and depression. In contemporary times, carnelian is thought by some to enhance self-esteem and creativity, to combat feelings of inadequacy, to increase physical energy and overcome insomnia. In the home, carnelian is believed to increase motivation towards action. It is sometimes used as a talisman to protect against fire and misfortune. Carnelian is associated with the solar plexus chakra (the yellow chakra), in which imbalances are thought to cause digestive problems, as well as lack of confidence."

"Jasper is an opaque chalcedony that comes in a wide variety of colors. The term "jasper" itself comes from the Greek work iaspi, meaning "spotted stone." Unlike most jasper, which is a heavily banded variety of chalcedony, brick red jasper is almost one pure color. Jasper is a gemstone that has been used all over the world and often revered as sacred. According to Norse legend, the magic sword of Siegfried the dragon slayer was inlaid with this gemstone. Egyptians believed the stone to be associated with Isis and was carved into amulets for the dead. There is also speculation it was actually red jasper (not ruby) that adorned the sacred breastplate of Aaron.

Jasper, in all its forms, is considered a powerful healing stone. Jasper is regarded as a gemstone that gives a sense of well-being, intensifying that feeling. Red jasper has been used as a stone of protection for thousands of years. It is believed this jasper has an ability to create and help balance aggressive, dynamic energy. Red jasper was used to staunch wounds and increase fertility."

As per tinyrituals.com, "Gleaming like a dragon's eye, the Red Tigers Eye stone has long been a stone of protection and healing. As far back as Ancient Rome, this glorious gem was used by soldiers heading into battle in an effort to keep fear at bay and luck and fortune close to hand. It wasn’t only Roman soldiers who were wooed by the Red Tigers Eye, the ancient Egyptians also celebrated this gem as being a symbol of strength as it was believed to brim with the light and power of the Sun God Ra. With its deep red shades and bands of black, the Red Tigers Eye is here to share its passion, prowess and protection.

Resplendent in energy and alive with passion, the Red Tigers Eye is a gemstone known for its rich vitality. For those who feel as though life has turned a little grey or become sluggish or slow, Red Tigers Eye is the perfect pick me up - ever ready to charge your passion, sensuality, creative drive and bring you back to a place of beautiful motivation and purpose. It is also a great crystal for helping manifest desires and magic. While it shares many of its healing qualities with the more familiar gold and banded black Tigers Eye, the depth of red in the gemstone turns up the dial when it comes to sensuality, motivation, and strengthening the root chakra.

Strength and protection sit at the heart of the Red Tigers Eye stone but that doesn’t mean that it shies away from other healing benefits too. Working across the body, mind, and soul - Red Tigers Eye comes with glorious grounding properties and serves as a tonic for tired minds. For those looking to reconnect with themselves, feel a flush of energy, and rekindle a creative mindset this could be just the gem for you.

Red Tigers Eye comes from the quartz family and scores a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. It hails from the warm sun-baked shores of South Africa, Namibia, and Brazil but can also be found in the USA, Canada, and India too. Rippled with red and black coloring, the Red Tigers Eye takes its shading from the oxidation of iron that is present within the crystal. It has a robust feel and weight to it, which is why its comforting presence is linked to themes of grounding and the root chakra.

Energetically, Red Tigers Eye ensures that your roots are strong and sunken into the earth. When we have a strong connection with the ground beneath our feet, we are better equipped to stand tall, be confident, and know our own minds. This style of Tigers Eye is all about nurturing our balance and focus and helping us to recognize where our energy is best placed. This stone stops you from wasting time on things that don’t serve you and helps you to redirect your motivation where it is most needed."

Finally, firemountaingems.com also says about Spotted Chalcedony, "This gemstone is thought by many to be lucky for Cancer signs and a protective stone for Sagittarius. Many people believe in the healing and cleansing properties of the stone that include the absorption and dissipation of negative energy so that it does not transfer to other people. This is likely why chalcedony is also thought to align the body, mind and spirit.

In chakra practices, chalcedony is believed to be the stone of communication and is often placed by the pharynx to stimulate the throat chakra. The throat chakra is considered the voice of the body and allows energy or pressure from the other chakras to be released. If the throat chakra is blocked it is believed to cause problems with other chakras. Specifically, blue chalcedony is favored for this practice."

The powerful healing potential of Pumpkin Spice Latte, the necklace, is remarkable!
