October Snow on Pines. 3 strand necklace of Chrysoprase, Malachite, Rainbow Moonstone and Shell

$155.95

October Snow on Pines is my interpretation of the early winter type weather we're having in the middle of Autumn! It was relentlessly raining and hailing most of the day and night. We even had a tornado and measurable hail in town. But on the mountain it was snow.

I used Chrysoprase discs, Malachite rounds, Rainbow Moonstone flat rounds and small white Shell rounds. It's finished with Delica Glass spacer beads and a Silver Filled slide and lock clasp. The short strand is 17 inches and the long one is 20 inches.

As per crystaldigest.com, "Chrysoprase is a semi-precious gemstone and has been used in jewelry for centuries. It is believed to have mystical powers and to be a stone of good fortune. The stone is said to be a stone of balance and healing. It is said to help with anxiety, depression, and stress. Chrysoprase is also said to promote self-esteem, confidence, and courage.

Chrysoprase is a variety of chalcedony, a quartz characterized by its translucent green to apple-green color. The name chrysoprase comes from the Greek words “krisos” and “prison” which mean “golden” and “leek” respectively. The stone also goes under the names “Australian Jade,” “Jadite,” but they are not related to the actual jade stone."

thecrystalcouncil.com states, "Malachite is one of the most important minerals for protecting against negative energies. It fills our auric fields with positivity, while simultaneously pushing all the negativity outwards. Malachite is known to create a “cloak of invisibility” around the user. This will remove you from certain confrontations and make you less susceptible to negative energies. This stone also helps with emotional balance, especially during times when people around you put their “baggage” on you. Malachite offers the willpower to confront and get past any emotional and physical blockage happening in your current life. Lastly, it helps people who lack self-confidence and self-responsibility. This powerful mineral assists in making progress on your spiritual journey and is a must-have for anyone who is constantly working on themselves. Malachite opens the heart and will allow for balance on all levels."

According to firemountaingems.com, "Moonstone has translucent white color with a white sheen similar to "moonshine" that rolls or flows over the stone when rotated, hence the name "moonstone." The sheen is caused by light diffraction within layers of feldspar. Generally a creamy translucent white stone, rainbow moonstone features occasional iridescent or multicolored (especially blue) flashes with transparency that ranges from opaque to semi-translucent. Rainbow moonstone is best seen in natural light for play of color .

Moonstone has been used in jewelry going back to ancient civilizations. The Romans believed moonstone was born from solidified rays of the moon. The Greeks and the Romans associated moonstone with their lunar gods. During the Art Nouveau period in the early 20th century, moonstone became popular with artists and goldsmiths for creating jewelry.

Moonstone is often called the visionary's stone. It helps us see things more clearly. Rainbow moonstone is thought to bring balance, harmony and hope while enhancing creativity, compassion, endurance and inner confidence. Rainbow moonstone meaning is associated with strengthening intuition and psychic perception, especially offering visions of things that aren't immediately obvious. Because it’s said to help us avoid tunnel vision, we are able to see other possibilities. It's like a flash of inspiration that comes when we are open and quiet. Rainbow moonstone meaning is linked to life-changing inspiration.

Moonstone gemstones are believed to carry especially nurturing energies. Connected to the heart and sacral chakras, they help soothe emotional turmoil, inspire compassion, and support feminine energy. It is believed to be ideal for self-love, romance, or personal renewal. These stones are also linked to new beginnings, boost intuition, and gently ease stress while fostering a sense of inner peace."

"According to some metaphysical beliefs, mother-of-pearl shell in all its colors is believed to bring about prosperity. Of course, each color also has connotations, with white mother-of-pearl shell meaning being linked to concepts such as purity and youthfulness. It is unsurprising that with a name containing "mother," this shell is said to provide motherly protection and soothing abilities. It is not a traditional birthstone, but white mother-of-pearl shell meaning is associated with the Zodiac sign of Pisces and the heart chakra. For this reason, mother-of-pearl shell is believed to help strengthen the heart and immune system."

I used the Rainbow Moonstone and Shell to represent the snow, and I see that those were great choices as far as their healing potential goes too!

This will be a great year round necklace, but it's really perfect for the winter holiday season!
