Lilacs, 3 strand Amethyst and Gaspeite necklace
Lilacs, 3 strand Amethyst and Gaspeite necklace
Lilacs is a 3 strand necklace celebrating the spring colors, flowers and amazing floral scents of the season! I used 3 sizes and shapes of light Amethyst alog with Gaspeite Heishi beads and Delica Glass spacers. Lilacs is completed with a Sterling Silver toggle clasp.
As per firemountaingems.com, "Amethyst is also the birthstone for February. Amethyst meaning today often connects to peace, clarity and spiritual growth, making it a thoughtful gift and a powerful choice in jewelry design.
Because of its mythic association with sobriety, amethyst has long been believed to prevent intoxication and curb indulgence. These amethyst properties have made the stone a symbol of clarity, discipline and wisdom. Worn to enhance decision-making and protect the mind, amethyst was often gifted to young warriors to promote clear thinking in battle.
Leonardo da Vinci claimed amethyst could dispel evil thoughts and sharpen the intellect. It has been used by healers to heighten intuition and spiritual awareness. Across cultures, amethyst meaning represents peace, serenity and unity. Many people use amethyst during meditation for spiritual balance and clarity.
Some naturopaths also associate amethyst with supporting sleep, regulating sugar imbalances and relieving headaches."
"Gaspéite is a rare mineral, found in only a few places. Pronounced GAS-pee-ite, it was named after its original location of discovery, the Gaspé Peninsula of Quebec, Canada. Gaspéite is a bright yellow to apple green color with brownish veining. It was originally considered only a gangue mineral—a stone which contains a unextractable metal ore in its makeup.
Gaspéite has been traditionally used among Australian Aboriginal peoples as a vision stone. Gaspéite meaning is also associated with healing and weight loss. Gaspéite meaning is affiliated with the heart and solar plexus chakras."
A celebratory necklace, Lilac will be a great addition to anyone's jewelry collection!
